my story
hello! nice to meet you. my name is bethany, and i’m an entry-level professional who’s committed to understanding people, crafting meaningful experiences, and fostering creative spaces :)
my professional creative journey started when i joined my university’s largest student programming organization as a first-year. i didn’t realize it then, but this decision exposed me to skills and principles rooted in user-centric design, and I was hooked! i enjoyed solving problems related to improving people’s experience with my events and the creative, iterative process that came with it. this experience inspired me to seek opportunities outside of my organization to design and shape experiences.
from declaring my major to pursuing internships, i’ve since sought opportunities that allow me to further develop my skills and acumen in crafting thoughtful, intentional experiences. i’ve organized a virtual manager forum for the apple maps global manager community to promote resource-sharing and close communication gaps. i’ve analyzed the user experience for SOLIDWORKS for Makers, a 3D CAD software with over 27,000 users, noting pain points and opportunities for improvement in usability. as a personal hobby, i write songs and enjoy singing and playing guitar because i’m drawn to songwriting’s cathartic nature of telling specific stories that draw from universal human experiences and emotions.
inside and outside the workplace, i value meaningful experiences, hence why i’m committed to my professional mission of crafting intentional, meaningful experiences. my professional strengths lie in understanding people, organizing data, and strategically planning and executing research to ensure accurate, applicable insights.
thoughtful experiences source from thoughtful research, analysis, and planning, and i’m committed to digging up the insights.
